A Man On A Mission

Written by , Posted in Editorial

Roberto Cavalli is notorious for creating sexy, envelope pushing fashions that every woman lusts for season after season. Lately though, Cavalli has been on a bit of a soul searching mission which has been reflected in his newest lines. He says that he enjoys travelling alone, and jokes stating, “Maybe I am looking for the reason why I exist.” He’s referenced a picture of sand dunes with regard to stretch cotton jeans in his new resort collection among others inspired by hi travels to the end of the Earth. He’s also realized that the Cavalli woman has to work, so he’s designed styles that are more work-place-friendly. (yay!)

You can find more of the interview with him here and the pictures of his collection here.

Peter Pan Collars

Written by , Posted in Editorial

There’s just something about the Peter Pan collar that’s timeless; maybe because it’s inspired by the Never-Never Land character. It’s flirty and feminine, but with a slight masculine touch, making it the perfect collar for those who are weary of jumping into the menswear trend with both feet.

Written by , Posted in Editorial

Congratulations to Anne Hathaway and fiance Adam Shulman on their engagement over the Thanksgiving weekend. The couple who’s been dating for three years and has managed to stay notoriously low-profile, decided to tie the knot. There was no big announcement, but rather she slyly flaunted her ring while out and about over the weekend. From her history of chic, timeless looks, it’s only right to assume that her wedding dress will be amazing! Who do you think will be the designer?

Simply throwing your scarf around your neck is completely fine, but change it up a bit with new knots, bows, and draping techniques. Here are a few pictures to give you an idea of the different ways you can wrap your favorite scarf this holiday season.

Friday Favorites: Turquoise Jewelry

Written by , Posted in Editorial, Friday Favorites

There’s just something about Turquoise jewelery that makes it perfect for any occasion. The color is rich, but not flashy and it pairs perfectly with silver, gold, copper and brass. The Earthy appeal can enhance or totally change the look of your outfit. For example, if you’re wearing jeans and a v-neck, throw on a couple of chunky pieces of turquoise jewelry, or if you’re wearing a dress to go out, a large turquoise pendant necklace will make you stand out in any room. The rock is also amazing because it looks phenomenal raw and uncut, but can also be carved and shaped into nearly anything.
